Ms Antonella Catalano
Coordinator and Year 2 Teacher
Professional experience: Antonella has been part of the St Mary’s Community for the past four years as a Coordinator and classroom teacher. Prior to this, she has worked at St Fiacre’s Leichhardt and St Ambrose in Concord West. Throughout her teaching career, she has been involved in numerous leadership positions including Student Growth, Gifted Education, Mathematics and teaching students from EALD backgrounds.
Statement on area of responsibility: Antonella is jointly responsible for leading the Student Diversity Team including the facilitating of the Newman Selective Program at St Mary’s. This involves liaising with teachers, parents and students in order to identify, support and monitor the needs of students whilst also building the capacity of fellow educators. She is currently training in developing her pedagogy in the Mathematics in Excellence program. She enjoys implementing programs and initiatives to support the wellbeing of staff and students.
